We choose the best wines for you!

I love the winter seasons in Ibiza. Everyone that lives here agrees to the calmness and connection to nature that one feels here during these months – it is part of the isolation. Of course, this gives us considerable amount of time to re-think what the following summer seasons will look like, think of ways of innovating our services and of course re-design our menus.

A fun time is coming up for me as during the following weeks I have planned some tastings with our usual suppliers to try new WINES. I will be revising the wines we have on offer for forthcoming weddings and of course getting to test them all – can’t wait for it! Some wines age better than others, some wines will need revising as new wines come onto the market, and of course there I am to make sure I get the best choices for my brides and grooms so that they can WOW their Ibiza wedding guests.

I love my country and for this reason I only offer the best Spanish wines and ones that are highly recommended. When it comes to the red these are mostly from the Rioja region or the Ribero del Duero area, although I do like the less popular Mencia wines. For white wines, my preference looks towards the North of Spain where you can find stunning wines such as Albariños, Verdejos and Godellos. Moving on to the bubbles, for the newly married couples toasting I find the cava from Catalonia is the cherry on the pie for such memorable events. You want to keep it original to the destination. Catalonia has been producing Spanish Champagne since as early as 1850. When Spain entered the EU, it was no longer allowed to be called Spanish Champagne and became known as Cava.

For the wedding reception, the tendency is to go for an ice-cold beer or a refreshing glass of Sangria. The Sangria recipes are top-secret as we will make sure that these are fresh with new tastes, some using bases of white wine mixed with ginger as a small example of the fun things we get up to!

Usually when clients hire a food and beverage company they tend to look in more detail into the food section. With us, that will be fine because we take pride for what we do in the back scenes and that is ensuring that your packaged wines, or packaged bar is the best within your desired budget.
